Post Taco Seasoning Mix (Cata5)

Taco Seasoning Mix

*2 teaspoons chili powder
*1 dash red pepper
*1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
*1 teaspoon onion powder
*1/2 teaspoon salt
*3/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Mix above spices together to equal 1 envelope of Taco Seasoning Mix. Brown ground beef/turkey, drain fat, add 3/4 cup water and mix. Simmer until desired consistency.

NOTE: This is just a basic recipe. I use crushed red peppers, sometimes more chili powder or garlic powder instead of garlic salt. (You get the idea.)

Hope this helps you out Cata5 and that you don't mind I posted it here. Thought maybe someone else could use it too.

Lightbulb Forgot to tell you.....

that you can use this for fajitas also.

Last night I placed leftover chicken cut into strips along with red & green peppers and onions in a warm skillet with bit of oil. Then I sprinkled the mix over the fixings and mixed then heated.

Thank you for this post!! We love tacos, and somehow, I almost always forget to buy the seasoning! (now if only I could figure out how to make salsa!)
