i have made several of these and adore them. i leave them out all the time! yes it looks christmasy if you decorate it that way. but you can use all kinds of things to decorate it for the rest of the year. be careful though. the potpourri can get very hot. dont leave plugged in at night or when you are out of the house!

I have one that someone made for me and after a bit it starts to smell weird due to the heat. Kind of a burning smell. This happens after a short time. Anything I can do? Besides unplug it after a half hour...

I made one of these and it's SO EASY and everyone loved it. However, it did get that "burned" smell if I had it on too long.
