Just read an interesting tip today from Clark Howard, the king of all that is frugal (www.clarkhoward.com): If you are having trouble controlling your credit card spending, then you should place all your credit cards in a ziplock bag, add water and stick in the freezer. That should keep you from spending for a while! |

I have indeed heard of this method before....it is supposed to stop impulse buying.....so you really have time to think about a purchase!! It works and it doesnt hurt the credit cards either......

Yes! I did that for awhile when my debt hit near $1,000. And it really works! And it helps you learn to control your spending and budget better. My CCs are back in my wallet now but I am way more responsible ![]() Except when me and my boyfriend moved intogether he had a microwave so it was easier to thaw them out!!!!! LOL!!! |
