Hi,
Here's something that I use and my 84 year old Aunt also uses - it works great for those of us who don't have a dishwasher, but 'do' cook and therefore end up with greasy pots and pans and dishes.
Use your regular dish detergent in the sink filled with dishes, pots, etc's...but, add a few drops of lemon essential oil to it. It's inexpensive and it works. My Aunt does this and goes and watches the news - then comes back and the grease is dissolved. I add it as I'm washing, sometimes a drop or two on the sponge I'm using and the grease is GONE. Lemon essential oil will also disinfect at the same time you're washing the dishes, so it has lots of good things - it's anti-viral as well. I also tried orange essential oil for the heck of it, and it works too, but not as good as the lemon essential oil. Any herbal shop carries it, or some of the larger grocery stores in the natural foods section - or you can get it online from a wide variety of sources for much less, which is what I do.
