Smile Natural and cheap fabric softener

Hi,

When washing your clothes, in the last rinse put about 1/2 cup of baking soda into your wash water. It not only deodorizes, but acts as a natural fabric softener so you won't have to buy the liquid or sheets - and it's very inexpensive. You can buy a large box at many grocery stores in the baking isle.

Re: Natural and cheap fabric softener

Nice tip. I put some in w/the laundry soap and it really helps with the clothes getting cleaner! Thanks!

Hmmm, interesting tip!

Now, I wonder.....if you have over dried something so that it shrinks (as most sitcoms have done at one time or another), can you use the baking soda/powder to make the clothes "rise" back to normal size?

Cool Re: Natural and cheap fabric softener

Hi,

OK, we've all done this one - what shrunk? I mean, what type/kind of material. Baking soda won't do that, but maybe we can come up with another way.
