Exclamation Brand New Shirt Ruined By MUD!
I washed it already, and then forgot about it and threw it in the danged dryer...stain is still there!! The shirt is mostly white and has writing on the front. What can I do??

I am not a good stain-getter-outer, but I have a friend who swears by Oxy-Clean. She mixes some of the powder in a bathroom sink with hot water, then soaks the clothing item overnight, and she said it always gets the stains out. I would be afraid the writing on your shirt would fade ... but if it's ruined anyways, I guess what's the harm in trying? If you find something that works, please share with us.

Sorry about your dilemma. I've had this happen before.

Is the stain on a white part of the shirt? If so, have you tried the Clorox Bleach Pen on it? It may be worth a try.

If it's on a colored area, try soaking the shirt in the washer overnight. Fill the washer about 1/4 full with warm water, with a full capful of laundry detergent and a full capful of Clorox 2. I've had success with this method, though the colors faded slightly.

Let us know if you have any success!

Oh, good recommendation, eldo, on the Clorox Bleach Pen. I have one of those and have not tried it yet, but I would think it would work pretty good.

Never thought of the pen! Excellent idea!! Dang!! Next time I'll do that instead!!

Yorkie, I did use the oxy clean stuff and with a little scrubbing it all came out!!! Thanks so much!!
