| Re: Does anyone know how to make play-doh for kids? I don't know about eating this recipe, but it's the only one I have. Baker's Clay 4 cups flour 1 cup salt 1½ cup water (to start) Do not halve or double recipe. Mix together all ingredients and knead 5 minutes. Shape and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until hardened. Paint with acrylic paints. |

| Re: Does anyone know how to make play-doh for kids? From The Preschooler's Busy Book by Trish Kuffner: 1 cup water 1 Tbsp vegetable oil 1/2 cup salt 1 Tbsp cream of tartar food coloring 1 cup flour Combine water, oil, salt, cream of tartar, and food coloring in a saucepan and heat until warm. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir, then knead until smooth. Keep in mind that the cream of tartar makes this dough long-lasting, up to 6 months or longer, so resist the temptation to leave it out if you don't have it on hand. This dough should be stored in an airtight container or Ziplock bag. Do not refrigerate. |

This recipe is edible and safe for any and all ages. 1/3-part peanut butter 1/3-part dry powdered milk 1/3-part honey Mix well and knead for a few minutes until dough sticks together. As long as your craft paint is water based and it probably is, there shouldn't be any problem with her using it. Have fun! Kat ![]() |
