| Cute costume idea From Dollar Stretcher:
This year my 6-year-old is a tornado. I got a foam rubber bed
cover (the kind that looks like egg crates) for $6 and a bag
of fiberfill $2. I cut the foam into a wedge and hot glued the
ends together to make the funnel. It is about three feet tall.
For stability, I took two wire hangers and taped them together
to make a circle to fit about six inches from the top of the
tornado. It just fits inside and doesn't need to be attached.
Then, I cut out holes for his arms and face. Using school
glue, I glued the fiberfill to the funnel to look like a
cloud. Then, I used gray spray paint to darken the effect.
Using fishing line, I attached small toy animals, cars,
houses, etc. When he spins around, the toys fly! Gray or black
sweats finish it off.
