Thumbs up Shaving for less

After receiving that sample from start sampling for shaving that I eally liked I went to the site for the product and it was $12/bottle so I had to figure out a better solution. I discovered baby oil does the same thing for less. The oil softens your skin, prevents nicks because it smooths your skin and coats the razor blade, and after you shower you don't need moisturizer because the oil keeps your skin moisturized.
I use a disposable razor (twin blade is a must) and baby oil. The first thing to do is wet the skin you want to shave and then with your hands wipe the excess water off, leaving your skin moist. Then take a few drops of baby oil and apply it to your skin and then shave like normal. Its strange getting used to not seeing where you are shaving but it is worth it.
I buy cheap razors from the dollar store 10/$1 and a good sized bottle of baby oil is about $2 and it lasts because only a few drops are needed!! No moisturizer needed because the oil does a great job and the excess is rinsed of in the shower so you don't get that dirty/greasy feeling. You save on lotion because you don't need it!! This is truely pennies per shave!!

Thanks, I've been wondering what to do with all of that baby oil that I have leftover from making my own baby wipes

I do something similar with conditioner. I buy the 80oz pack of Kirkland conditioner at Costco for about $5.79 and refill a smaller conditioner bottle to use for hair and shaving. That way I don't have as many bottles cluttering up my shower.

I used to use conditioner until I found this and I like it better.

Also i found out using baby powder while you shave dry, helps with no razor burn.. Trust me on this one i always get razor burn and one day i tried this dunno why either but it works. So if i am camping or driving a couple days trip then i take baby powder with me..
