Berry Picking?

Is anyone going to pick berries this summer? We have something near us called a huckleberry, which is similar to a blueberry, and I'm going to be picking some today. Wondering if anyone else does something like this as a cheap form of entertainment and food source, too

I have before, but since I'm on the atkins diet right now I can't have tem yet. It is a great money saving thing to do. You can freeze them when you get them and have them year round!!

When we lived in WA dh would bring home tons of big Blackberries. The taste was to die for. I was never a big berry eater till then. They also had an odd one called Salmon berries.
I didnt care for those that much.

I'm not sure I would know a Huckleberry if I saw one though.

Tell us what you make with them!

Next to our house is an empty lot FULL of blackberries. We were just out there last night picking some. It beats having to pay $3+ for them @ Wal-Mart!
