Lightbulb Camping Ideas?

Does anyone have any good camping ideas or suggestions? Recipes, shortcuts or anything helpful would be appreciated. Thanks!

A big favorite of ours is to use the cooking bags and throw dinner right on the coals. We have quite a few families that go camping together and we all do our own food but eat together and this works perfect. We all do different cooking bags and lay them on the coals. We love to use cabbage and sausage. One family just throws in frozen veggies and chicken. Use your imagination. It is so easy.

cata5 is welcome here
We're not really campers, but when we go to the lake we do cook over a fire. One of my favorite things to do is put a large 10 can of baked beans in the hot ashes. Open it first, but not all the way. You want the lid to stay on a bit so the ashes don't fly into the beans. It will start to bubble on the edges so you want the lid to be almost all the way cut open. This gets VERY hot so be careful! Pry the hot lid up and ladle out the beans! Push the lid down to protect it again.

As far as other things to bring....A clothesline and clothespins are a must!!
