Question Best Stain Remover?

I'm looking to try some other stain removers. My daughter never did believe in using napkins or pushing up her sleeves, so her clothes are covered in stains.
Oxy Clean doesn't do a thing for them, Biz has helped with a few, but not all. Most of the stains are old, but I've never put the stained clothing through the dryer.
I've been seeing a lot of commercials for Clorox 2 lately - anybody use that? Does it work? Any other ideas?

Editting to say that the Oxy Clean does work.. just not on these particular stains. Seems different stain removers work better on different stains. Like the Biz - my mother and I both swear by it to remove spit-up stains, but it doesn't seem to work on chocolate.

I like the shout sticks or soaking in a bucket with oxiclean/water seems to help. You have to make sure the oxiclean is disolved in hot water. It IS a never ending battle to get the stains out.

Thanks Cata.

I went ahead and bought some Clorox2 yesterday. I tried it on some of the stains and it helped. I followed the directions on the bottle to gentle rub it into the stain and let it sit for 3-5 minutes before washing. It didn't take the stains entirely out, but it did make them look better - MUCH better. It even faded the marker stains my son put on one of my dd's shirts. I hadn't gotten anything to even touch that stain until now.
Maybe if I keep trying they'll come out eventually (or the fabric will fall apart from all that excess washing and then it won't matter anymore! LOL!)

Re: Best Stain Remover?

Are you wondering about stains on anything or clothing? For hard water stains I found Lime Out Extra works awesome.

Re: Best Stain Remover?

For pre-treaters, I found that Zout works better than Shout. It took out some wicked stains from my DH's shirts.

Re: Best Stain Remover?

I just got some clothes from my aunt and uncle for my son and they were COVERED in stains. I used stain stick spray and did a small load of clothes to ensure that my machine aggitated fully and did the longest wash cycle I have and I could not believe how well it worked for me

Re: Best Stain Remover?

Hi,

This goes waaayyy back but it works. It's a bar soap, that you wet the stains, rub it on and it works great. It's called FELS-NAPTHA, and some of the area stores carry it, ironically, it's also recommended for poison ivy! lol
