Idea for Teacher christmas gifts

A few years back I made all my kids Teachers Wreaths.
I went and caught a sale on those fake green wreaths
then I went to Michaels craft store and purchased small *Dollhouse sized accessories* teacher related items like blackboards, apples, books, crayons, rulers, etc... and hot glued them to the wreath and tied a nice Teacher related ribbon to the bottom. They were a big hit! And when I broke down the cost it only cost me Maybe 5 or $6 a wreath

That's a good idea.

I am always confused when it comes to figuring out just what to get a teacher for the holidays. And just when I get to figuring out the basic likes, dislikes, my little guy is off to another grade (thankfully, passing is a good thing ) and to another teacher with a whole new set of likes/dislikes

Order books from a book club and donate them to their classroom, or puzzles, board games also! Teachers love things for their room!

I bet stickers would also be appreciated...those are the kinds of things that have to come out of the teacher's own pockets...or hey, even cash would be great so they could buy those things they need?

Main thing as with most jobs, is the feeling of appreciation.
Obviously teachers aren't in it for the money, or they'd be doing something else....bless 'em!

Because I do portraits, I'm thinking of using the teacher's pictures in the school yearbook as reference, and drawing 8x10" size portraits of them, and then drawing an open book (or something) in front of them, and then leaving a space so my daughter can write a message to her teacher in that space. Maybe you all can give me some ideas.

Here's another idea:

Get a clay pot and some crayons. Hot glue the crayons to the pot so that they surround the pot. Tie on a neat ribbon. Put a plant in. Wa-la! Cute idea and something different.

This is an awesome idea, Teah! I only wish I would have read this post sooner! I am definitely saving this idea for next year. Thank you!
