I agree, I've gotten some good recipes from here. I've made some of these, and planning on making some of the others since I'm going to be starting my new job soon....

Re: Ground beef recipies

I'd like it too, and have also found some good recipes and I 'do' freeze things, so making more of things always helps. Since we all come from all over the country here, we'd be sure to get great regional recipes from other states that we wouldn't even know about if not for here. ---> going to check recipes....lol

Re: Ground beef recipies

I found this recipe on a website & my boyfriend & I loved it!! It was almost better the next day after it sat and soaked up flavors. I am making this & taking it when we go visit my grandma and grandpa out of town next week. I used less onion b/c TJ doesn't like it much & I also didn't add the Italian seasoning until after the meat was cooked and drained b/c I rinse mine to get out the grease. Cabbage is also super cheap in my town...like $.40/pound.

Unstuffed Cabbage

3/4lb lean ground beef
1 medium yellow onion
1 pkt. GOOD SEASONS Zesty Italian Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes
8 cups shredded cabbage (about 1 lb.)
1 cup water
1 cup MINUTE Brown Rice, uncooked

BROWN meat and onion with dressing packet in large skillet or Dutch oven on medium-high heat 4 to 6 minutes or until meat is cooked through.

ADD tomatoes and cabbage; stir. Reduce heat to simmer; cover tightly. Cook 20 to 25 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

STIR in water and rice; bring to boil. Cover; reduce heat and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir and cover. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Re: Ground beef recipies

This isn't a ground beef recipe but this is also another recipe I found and tried within the last couple of weeks and it was soooo good! TJ & I again loved this & as a test we took it to his work and people were coming for seconds and asking for the recipe. One lady TJ works with asked for the recipe, made it, and took it to some family function-her whole family hounded her for the recipe. You could also modify it by putting choclate sauce on top, cherries, strawberries, or other things that go well w/ a banana split.

***When I made this I personally used fat-free cream cheese & no one could tell @ all. I also didn't have white sugar when I made this so I used brown sugar in the crust and in the cream cheese mixture and it was AWESOME! I almost think it tasted better then white sugar would have. Just some ideas. Brown sugar seemed to add a great flavor.

1-1/2 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
1-1/4 cups sugar, divided
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) Cream Cheese, softened
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
6 medium bananas, divided
2 cups cold milk
2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
2 cups thawed Whipped Topping, divided
1 cup Chopped Pecans

MIX crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and butter; press firmly onto bottom of foil-lined 13x9-inch pan. Freeze 10 min.

BEAT cream cheese and remaining 1 cup sugar in bowl with electric mixer until well blended. Carefully spread cream cheese mixture over crust; top with pineapple. Slice 4 of the bananas; arrange over pineapple.

POUR milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Stir in 1 cup whipped topping; spread over banana layer in pan. Top with remaining whipped topping; sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate 5 hours. Just before serving, slice remaining 2 bananas; arrange over dessert.

Love

okay here's one for you. How about stuffed hamburgers.
you take and make two ground meat patties ( like hamburger patties) put whatever seasoning you like in it. Sauttee some onions, mushrooms, bell pepper, green peppers, or whatever you want put that on one side of one of the patties cover with chedder cheese and mozzerella cheese or whater cheese you fancy. Put the top pattie on and grill. I prefer the bbq pit , but you can do it in a frying pan too. It's good and it saves you

Just thought of another one you can buy a chef boyardee pizza kit. It comes with parmesan cheese and pizza dough and pizza sauce. You can fry the ground beef and put it onn the pizza with some pepperoni's
You can have hamburger pizza.

ANOTHER GOOD RECIPE THAT'S NOT GROUND BEEF

You take chicken breasts and cut them in half horizontally so you have a top and a bottom. you put pepperoni and cheese in the middle and use toothpicks or string to hold it together tightlly and fry it. it's good

Ground Beef Casserole

Here is a standard at our house. Brown 1 lb ground beef with celery, garlic and onions; add two cans of diced tomatoes with juices. Add a little worchestire sauce and pepper. Combine in a 9 x13 pan with half a box (that's 1/2 pound) of slightly firm cooked macaroni/ Add about 8 oz of shredded cheddar cheese. Cover and bake at 350 around 30 minutes.
