jenimadison is welcome here
Looking for canned salmon recipes...

I have several cans of salmon...I'd like to do something with them other than salmon patties. Does anyone know of or have some good (and easy) recipes to use canned salmon? Maybe a pasta dish?

Thanks in advance for posting them...or feel free to email them to me at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now].

Thanks again

Nothing fancy here but.....................
When we lived out west we sometimes ate canned Smoked Salmon mixed with Cream Cheese on a bagel.
Now, that was tasty.

1 package cream cheese, softened - the block kind
1 can salmon - its best if its boneless/skinless, but you can pick that stuff out if you need to.
Tabasco to flavor (around 1/4 to 1/3 Cup)

Mix it all together in a bowl, grab your box of wheat thins, and enjoy! This is great for a dip before the big holiday meal, a nice treat on a Saturday evening movie night, or just a snack to take to work.

Wink

As long as I can remember.. My Mother
always made this, from canned Salmon.

Simple, Quick & Yummy~
( feeds a family of 3-4, /adjust to your needs)

"Salmon Loaf"

large mixing bowl
Loaf pan ( almost any pan will do though)

1-can of salmon
1-egg
1-sm. chopped onion
1/2 package of Soda crackers (crushed)
1/2 cup of Ketchup(or if on hand :Use(1)sm. can of Tomato sauce)
Salt & pepper (to taste)
Lime/Lemon Juice (fresh or bottled) (to taste)

1.)Mix it all together~
2.)shape into loaf
3.) 'crumble' Soda Crackers on top of loaf,&
...... teaspoon a few small-drops of butter all over the top.
......( the butter will melt on top of the crackers as it cooks, to
......give the "salmon loaf" a slight-crunchy-texture on top)

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins.

Suggestions:
serve with String / Green Beans & Dinner rolls.

Enjoy!

I bought the new canned salmon

It looks like a tuna can. I am gonna use it in a version of Salmon and Noodles. Cook your favorite package of noodles...drain. Put 2-3 Tbls in pan. Add 4-6 ounces of cubed cream cheese and a couple tsp. of milk. Add a can of Cream of Chicken soup or any other cream soup. Season to taste and heat carefully. When all is melted and blended add the Salmon and lastly the noodles. You can add any number of things such as veggies at this point as well. If you add frozen ones though, cook with the last few minutes with noodles. I just adapted my tuna and noodle recipe...which changes according to my mood as to what else goes in it. My kids prefer it kinda plain...lol

salmon cakes

Mix salmon, 1 or 2 eggs to taste, and bread crumbs to taste. Once thoroughly combined make into patties and bake or pan fry. You can vary recipe by adding onions, garlic, cheese, or spices. They are good when reheated also. I make a whole bunch usually with tuna and freeze for microwave dinner later.
