My free issue (from the free issue offer that was posted when the magazine first came out) turned into a free 1-year subscription...how?!

I passed my free issue on to my sister and asked that she return it to me so I could save it. She surprised me with a gift subscription "just because."

Toby, I probably wouldn't have purchased this (cooking is a passion & I already get waaay too many cooking mags), so I was pleased it was different than all the others - it would be reader-friendly for novice cooks, in particular.
