Below are just some friendly reminders:

In order to help alleviate some of this.. PLEASE TRY TO CHECK TO SEE IF THE SAME EXACT DEAL WAS POSTED WITHIN RECENT DAYS. IF IT WAS.. JUST BUMP IT UP (POST A REPLY).. THERE IS NO REAL NEED TO POST IT AGAIN..

<LI>No referral linksare permitted in this forum. They belong in the Affiliate Spam Section here at Deal of Day.

<LI>Deals that cost any money - even for shipping -belong in the Internet Deals section.

<LI>Please try to post the name of the website/company offering the deal as well as a brief description of what the offer is about.

<LI>To linkify something (for newbies) just type [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] leaving a space at the beginning and end (between words like you would with any sentence you are typing.

<LI>There is a search feature up near where the buttons are to post reply and post new topic.. this feature works especially well if we all try our very hardest to put the name of the company or website in the subject line of our posts. Granted, it is not perfect, but it is worth trying to use.

<LI>Try to enjoy yourselves. If you need assistance, contact one of the forum moderators.Our names and e-mail addresses are on the left side of the screen within each forum.

<LI>Show courtesy on the boards to your fellow Deal of Day members and they will surely do the same for you.

<LI>Freebie related posting is what this forum is all about. Off-topic chatting should be posted in the General Chit Chat forum... and there usually are some great topics that come up.. so check that forum often!

<LI>If you are going to post a large number of freebies.. like samples and other smaller items.. if you don't mind, it might be helpful to post them in one subject category... otherwise they will knock all of the other member posts off the board and onto another page. This is not a "rule" really, but it would be considered a courtesy.... think of it this way.. say someone posts the most amazing freebie in recent weeks, like $200 off $200 order and no shipping.. if you post twenty or thirty "Samples" posts, that really good deal is going to moved way down the board.

2. Re-phrasing:

Pls. try to:

"ITEM at WEBSITE" -- example:

"free PEN at <A HREF="http://www.COMPANY.com"" TARGET=_blank>www.COMPANY.com"</A>

This saves time for others who may already have done it but can't see it bec. it just says:

"free PEN/T-shirt/gift/etc."

It helps all of us tremendously on searches, keeping track, etc.
It also makes us unique from other message boards where they just say: "free PEN/t-shirt/gift/etc."

I have found the best way to search is to paste the web address I plan to post in the search window. If someone has posted the freebie before they always put the web address in their post.

If they forgot to put the web address in their post we need a repost anyway.
