I figured since I'm a good ol' southern girl, I had to sign up for this one. I've always wanted to know how to make their biscuits too!

Rolling eyes Is the recipe book still available?

Just wondering if anyone knows how to get the recipe book or if it is still available? The only offer I see is a movie gallery gift for signing up. I too would love these recipes if someone can help me or maybe share the biscuit recipe with me!!!! Please!

Thanks and happy new year!
Jan

I think I threw this brochure out!! Not sure, but I am not sure if it had biscuit recipes in it or not? I just get too much mail and I hate to keep it all, when I know I won't use it so I pitch a lot of things, probably shouldn't, but I hate clutter!

Sorry, wish I still had it, would send it to you!

Colonel's Recipes
Kentucky Biscuits

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable shortening

Preheat oven to 425ºF. Sift together flour, salt, sugar and baking powder into mixing bowl. Make a well in the flour mix and add the milk. Add shortening and begin kneading with hands (to cut in) the vegetable shortening and flour in the milk until thoroughly mixed. Add milk, if needed to form, and mix. Turn onto floured board, and knead gently 6 to 8 times. Pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into biscuits. Place on baking sheet and brown in oven 10-13 minutes. Makes about 9 biscuits.
