Just wanted to start a new thread, because the other one was soooo long.


First of all, the increased traffic has been so cool here.. Thanks to everyone for all of their hard work posting the great deals they find.
#1. With all of the increased traffic, posts are quickly pushed down the list requiring you to go to page 2 and so-on to find something that was just posted. In order to help alleviate some of this.. PLEASE TRY TO CHECK TO SEE IF THE SAME EXACT DEAL WAS POSTED WITHIN RECENT DAYS. IF IT WAS.. JUST BUMP IT UP (POST A REPLY).. THERE IS NO REAL NEED TO POST IT AGAIN.. This is happening constantly now.

#2. No referrals in this forum.. all of them go to the Affiliate section.

#3. Deals that cost any money - even for shipping - belong in the Internet Deals section. Also.. PLEASE TRY TO POST THE NAME OF THE WEBSITE/COMPANY ALONG WITH THE DEAL IN THE SUBJECT LINE WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

#4. To linkify something (for newbies) just type [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] leaving a space at the beginning and end (between words like you would with any sentence you are typing.

#5. There is a search feature up near where the buttons are to post reply and post new topic.. this feature works especially well if we all try our very hardest to put the name of the company or website in the subject line of our posts.

#7. Try to enjoy yourselves. If you run into problems, get in touch with one of the forum moderators. If you make a big goofup in your post and need it deleted, contact a moderator.

#8. That is about all I can think of right now other then to thank everyone for doing a great job, hope that you are enjoying yourselves and if you feel the urge to mail me some of your very best freebies.

#9. Another suggestion mentioned below.. if you are going to post a large number of freebies.. like samples and other smaller items.. if you don't mind, it might be helpful to post them in one subject category... otherwise they will knock all of the other member posts off the board and onto another page. This is not a "rule" really, but it would be considered a courtesy.... think of it this way.. say someone posts the most amazing freebie in recent weeks, like $200 off $200 order and no shipping.. if you post twenty or thirty "Samples" posts, that really good deal is going to moved way down the board.

I think we need to "re" enphasize the thread thing. Some of us are going freebie fanatic. Which is good but we need to try to let others have a shot at getting their freebies on too. Does anybody agree?

I agree with you! We are getting ALOT of repeat posts!! I know we all do it on occasion but it seems like more lately. That's what that little search button is for. Thanks for the reminder.....

Did it ever occur to anyone that the reason this board is getting so many repeat posts lately is because everyone wants their free gift certificates from Amazon? There wouldn't be nearly as many if people weren't looking for free Amazon money-almost makes it not worth it for Deal of Day to offer prizes for the number of posts-should be the number of new and unique posts!

Yeah I think we all need to read this one. I just e-mailed in a whole bunch of duplicates that I found while just lightly scanning these pages. Would there be a better way for us to post all the Startsampling, Atnocost and all the other free samples from those kind of sites when they become available? These posts do get pushed down really fast and you might not see these ones before the samples run out. Just an idea to kick around. Have a nice day everyone!

I really appreciated the post that said to put the what is free from what website in the title of the post. It sure does make things easier. For example:
