I just got an e-mail from them saying "Your Free Postage is Here!" Of course, it wasn't really, it was just a link to stamps.com's website and free postage offer! They just got all our names, addresses and friends for nothing.

Ok, is this the one where you were suppose to receive 10 pre-stamped envelopes? If so, I did it too. I went back to the site and got an email address and emailed them asking what the deal was. They in turn responded. The subject line read "Here's the information you requested"....ummmm..it told me NADA! I did the stamps.com thing a few months ago and I must admit I LOVE IT...I also live in a very rural area and "my post office" doesn't have one of those "vending" machines where you have a lot of choices, you either choose A stamp or 3 stamps...whoopie. I also did the Phone Hog that someone mentioned and I really like it so far, but I'm such a cheapskate! Like I said, we live in a rural area and everyone we care to call is long distance, it would be cheaper to drive to their house Maybe that's one reason my hubby and I bought my parents a puter! Saves a lot everymonth...few more months and the computer has paid for itself..now I'm rambling...sorry ![]() [This message has been edited by Mouse7088 (edited 08-25-2000).] |

This was one of the very first freebies I ever signed up for when I got my computer in September of 1999. I can't believe it's been almost a year! Well, I guess it's time to put that one on my list of places never to go back to. Poop on em then. Hee hee!

Postage4Free just sent me an email, this is what it says: "Dear XXXXXX: Recently we sent you an email with an offer of up to $45 in free Internet postage from Stamps.com. In no way was this a substitute for our original offer of 10 pre stamped envelopes. We sent you this offer because we feel this is a great service which you can benefit from immediately. If you missed out on our previous email, we offered up to $45 in free Internet postage from Stamps.com. You can click this link to read about the details of this offer. Click here and start printing postage today. Thank You for being a valued supporter of Postage4Free.com" I can't beleive these people, I signed up ages ago and never received my 10 pre-stamped envelopes, Yet, I still receive their spam. I guess it's easier to keep emailing people garbage than actually sending what they promised. |
