All you need to do is register at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and they'll send you an adapter that will let you connect a digital audio player like the RIO500 to your car stereo. You can get this free gift even if you are already a member at audible.com.

Also, it takes you thru the checkout process and asks for credit card information. I did not enter any and my order was accepted.

Cool

I just registered, too. Does anybody know if this would work with all players? I have a Creative Nomad.

Maybe I got the wrong impression, but that gigantic Terms and Conditions page seemed to indicate agreement with a $10.00 a month charge, with late charges and penalty fees possible.

I nearly ripped the phone cord out of the wall.

Not exactly a deal worth signing your life away for.

Uh Oh! I didn't read the terms, but they didn't ask for a credit card # either, so maybe I'm safe. Next time, I will read the fine print. Lesson learned everyday!

If you REALLY did read it, you would have understood that it was mentioning how you are responsible for payment of subscription plans, if indeed you do purchase a subscription plan, which you did not do by simply registering. For registering, you get a one month membership with a certain $creidt limit. If you Downloaded more than this free credit limit, you would have to pay the difference. Thats all it says
They did not ask for any method of payment.

Question

I don't know but when I went to the site, they wanted me to purchase the digital audio for $99 (retail $170 they tell me) and they will throw the cassette adapter in as a freebie. If this is the case, this post should now appear in Internet Deals, not Freebies.

It says your initial term is one month unless you have simultaneously purchased a "mobile audio player" at which point you sign up for a 12 month contract.

Likely the "purchase of a mobile audio player" is referring to the $99 RIO 500 player offer (which ends up costing about $220 by the end of the contract). Potentially, however, the "purchase" of a "mobile audio player" could also be construed as them sending you a free MP3 audio adaptor. That's why I'm staying away.
