This is the BEST cooking magazine I have ever read!!!! I got this offer years ago and it does come with the scissors...I subscribed for a year but never renewed so this is too cool!!!! Thanks for reminding me of this one!!!!
I remember a recipe for Snickers-like candy...layered...I made it at Christmas couple years back...it is toooooo good!!

I had a serious problem with this magazine last year. I never subscribed but started getting a subscription out of the blue. I got bills about every week(really strange..every WEEK??) and I responded to the first one saying I never subscribed to the magazine. Then about two months later I got a threatening call from a collection agency. I told them that I never asked to be sent this magazine and I even wrote to the company about it, kept a copy of the letter which I forwarded to the collection agency. I got a letter of apology from the collection agency plus a hand written note telling me that they ran into 17 other people that experienced the same problem that I was having!!!

I am sure that the magazine is a good one, but after my experience I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole!!!

Just wanted to share this so you can go into this with your eyes wide open...

Thanks for the warning vieprivee! However I think will try this, give the company a chance. I've had the same thing happen to me with sewing magazine. I found out the problem was a glitch in their computer sending out subscriptions to almost half the people on their mailing list. Offers to subscribe were supposed to be sent out instead of the actual subcription.

I remember they used to send like a small issue...and then if you wanted to subscribe you could send in the card...
I am sorry you had such a bad time with them...may have been just a mistake...I only had good experiences with them...and I loved how they had no ads in the magazine, hope they still do that.
This is the only cooking magazine I would subscribe too, it is by far the most excellent...down home cooking from real people...I love it!

They also have this magazine in most grocery stores for sale. I buy it occassionaly and liek the concept but never end up making any of them.

they do have good ideas....tried one or two of the recipes... but never enough of them to actually BUY the thing.... i'll take a free issue and some scissors though!!
