Previously I was of the impression that the vitamins or minerals help to make our body fit and agile but I did not know that it also aids us in other aspects as well. Some of these may seem too trifle of an issue but can serve us greatly. For example they help us in enhancing our nails and hair. They also help in maintaining the bone density and the most important of all they help curb the chances of heart attacks and strokes. Thus from now on I will be going for these supplements to ensure a sound health.

Well here I can see a list of health supplements and I think that they are all suited for the benefits of our health but then how can one guarantee that these supplements are devoid of any side effects? If I am not wrong I think that I have heard people say that specific supplements have bad side effects which in the long run can be a big problem for our health. So can someone comment on this?

without talking to a healthcare professional, if i were you and were not sure of the risks of taking any supplement, i simply would not sign up for the freebie(s). any medical advice should come from a licensed doctor for your own benefit.

I think this requires the careful evaluation of a professional healthcare professional, as it has been evident many times in the past that the so called health supplements actually do more harm than good and the reason for this primarily being the lack of knowledge about the consequences and suitability of these products in the individual human bodies which understandably differs a lot from one another.

Hi,
Especially if you are on meds for anything - anything can interfere that you also take, whether it's a vitamin that you might not need, or something else. Always check with both your prescribing Dr. and there are medical books at the library that will give you all the info you need - also on the 'net there is medline.com and a few other good sites for seeking info.
If you have any reservations as to the supplements, don't sign up for them.
