Shocked

Thanks for the idea, Mouse. You had said you were gonna make freebie gift bags. I brainstormed and came up with a few ideas.
Make a contribution to a charity. Give what you do. Give a gift certificate for chores, babysitting, etc.
Toy swap with another family. Clean and wrap the toys. The kids will love it.
Movie night-Fill a large bowl with freebie video certificates, microwave popcorn, boxes of freebie cookies, or candies, bottles of soda.
Party of two-Boxes of free dry pasta, a jar of spaghetti, bread or breadsticks, candlesticks, free cd or music.
Christmas in a box. For someone living alone, send along freebie tree branch wreath, or make a xmas tree, add lights and homemade ornaments, etc. Also, include a free music cd.
Bookworm basket.-Fill a basket with a few freebie books, a freebie coffee mug, packets of hot chocolate, coffee or tea, include freebie cookies or candies, freebie jams, etc. and a homemade pillow.
Letter writer's basket.-Assorted freebie greeting cards, postacards, freebie stationary, can be downloaded, check the old posts. Include postage stamps, freebie pens, pencils, return address labels.
Gift wrap basket.-Curling ribbons, homemade; freebie wrapping paper, can be downloaded; gift enclosure cards, transparent tape, freebie scissors, gift bags, tissue.

Please reply to this and we can come up with more ideas together. Thanks.

Childrens Travel Gift Bag- Pencils, Pens, Paper, stickers, one use cameras, (you could even use these for the long wait in the dentist/Dr. office)

The giftbags I made tonight were full of all sorts of stuff..men and women, they are going to the adults on DH's side..THE ENTIRE FAMILY (immediate and extended). I did the little bit of sewing to make the bags.

I also am putting a bottle of Country Bob's BBQ sauce in a bottle giftbag. I printed some fancy lettering on an envelope and enclosed a coupon for a free bottle as well.

Talking

I've been doing a similar thing, I'm in college, and have made goodie bags for the three girls I live with, almost all with free stuff:

for the stressed one:
- the slippers from drugstore.com, bubble bath, candle, tea and mug

for the fashion obsessed:
- lots of lipsticks, nailpolishes, and eyeshadows, more bubble bath, and hair stuff

for the sporty one:
- several t-shirts for workouts, sport bottle, new bike lock, and funky socks

Everybody loved it!
