and with more poking, I found out what these rituals are:

I can't use that offer, no places like that anywhere near me. I sure hope this sample is better than the Shampure they sent out last year, it was awful, smelled like plastic and made my hair feel like straw.

Our local Aveda just closed (Manchester/Buckland Mall) although there's still one in WestFarms.

You can sign up in person to get on their mailing list, I get cards for freebies several times a year PLUS on your birthday you get a full-sized product - last year it was a custom moisturizer worth $20 and the year before, a custom perfume worth about the same...

Ugh, could be that sample as a preservative, used a bit much of the type that contains petro-chemicals, that'll account for the smell and the feeling of straw!

There's one in WestFarms Mall, it's in that wing off of JC Penney's and Nordstroms'... I was just there the other day and had a stash of home mailer cards to cash in... I was going to buy a travel sized item (feeling guilty about having so many cards!) and they were SOOO NICE, said don't even worry about it, just handed me my bag with the freebies!

And they even gave me a nice cup of their divine tea, DH gets me some of it every Christmas, it's so good!

I highly recommend the WestFarms store, so very nice! They did tell me that there is a salon in Evergreen Walk that carries their products but heck I'd rather go to the mall itself.

Oh, and they were out of the Damage Remedy but they said it would be in again soon, just stop in for a freebie and mention that they were out of it at my last visit!

As for the Shampure... yuck, don't like it, don't like their Caribbean Therapy stuff either, it smells like Citronella. But on that note it makes a nice bug repellent AND it's so nice to your skin!
