Reminder when posting freebies! Please READ!

Please use the search feature. If the freebie you have found has already been posted, you can just bump the existing thread to the top with a note that it is still available! There is no need to post the same thing repeatedly as it just clutters up the forum and makes it run slower. Thank you!

WARNING: For those who do not start to follow this directive, if this continues, I will just start to delete these duplicate posts. I will not continue to sit here for an hour every day and merge posts. I am doing that as a courtesy, but I do not have to!

We do not tolerate SPAM of any kind on DOD! If you want referrals for some program or other, you may post those in Membership Referral once you have reached 25 quality posts on our site (refer to the rules in that forum for details).

Merchants may post special offers for their own sites in From the Merchant's Mouth.

And those are the ONLY places where you can post any form of SPAM for ANY REASON!

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE spam policy. It does not matter who you are or how long you have been here, if you SPAM, your post will be deleted ASAP. If you continue to do it repeatedly, you will find yourself banned from the site.

Everyday, we mods have to come in and clear out many posts that are against the TOS and should never have been made in the first place.

We also have some members who have been here for a long time and who should know better who suddenly post SPAM. I am not sure if these members reason that they have been here so long, there should be exceptions for their posts, or what. But there are NO exceptions. The rules have not changed.

For regular members, if we mods find ourselves repeatedly deleting spam from you, you will be warned before we ban, so you have a chance to cease the behavior.

We WILL NOT however, send a message and explain why we deleted each and every spam post. If you posted SPAM, then you know why it was deleted, there is no need to inform you of the reasons for the deletion.

No one likes to have to scroll through a ton of posts on each forum to skip the spam and find the good deals. It creates clutter and frustration. So let's keep our forums clean and clutter free!

Just a few other rule reminders:

Posts in Found a Freebie are to be completely FREE items, no shipping and handling, no SASE's, no 3 other offers to complete, etc. If you find an offer like that and wish to share it, you must post it in Internet and Retail Deals.

Offers that require you to complete tons of their other offers to get a freebie are not really free and these posts will be deleted.

Alcohol or tobacco related posts are unacceptable in any form. They are against the TOS of our Family Friendly Site.

Coupon trades go in the Coupon forum. There is no selling of coupons on DOD. You may offer them for a handling fee or trade them for other coupons that you can use.

Items that you wish to sell, like stuff you have to clean out or would sell at a yard or garage sale, should be posted in the Stuff For Sale or Trade forum.

If you have a store of your own, or you are an Ebay seller, then it goes in From the Merchant's Mouth.

Gripes or complaints about a website or experience go in the Compliments and Complaints forum.

You will find relevant forums for everything from religion and politics discussions, to living frugally, and even for baby freebies. So place your posts in the appropriate forum. This saves time for us mods, so we don't have to move a ton of posts, and you aren't left wondering where your post went.

I hope this clears a few things up for everyone.

Remember, most of all, we are here to "Save Money and Have Fun!"

Pulling off my shoes to count on my toes...

I kinda understand...everyone(me included) gets so excited when they find an offer...and really wanna share it.... BUT

Frankly, I must be getting a little uhhhh...on in years lololol
because I forget whether or not I saw the offer before, filled out the form, etc. So I go thru the whole process, only to be told "NUH UHH!" lololol

And, as I said, I assume it means extra work for our hardworking DOD administrators.

So. it was just a GENTLE chiding and I hope no offense was taken.

PS--One can always use some extra chafing protection!

No worries BRONX, we have discussed the issue and settled the matter, it was basically just a misunderstanding.

Anyway, I don't think you have enough fingers, toes, or other bodily projections to count how many times I have to delete, merge or otherwise edit posts each day. Every morning when I get on here, there is always tons that needs done.

LOL! I have done that, many times, fill out the whole thing, nothing looks familiar, then get that notice, you have already BEEN HERE! GO AWAY!

I blame my meds for those kinds of occurences, no one ever knows all the side effects, so that excuse always works!

ALSO: Please do a search and check to see if your freebie has already been posted, we have been getting tons of duplicates recently and it tends to clutter the forums and make it hard to find the new offers. If your freebie has already been posted, then you can bump it back to the first freebie page just by making a reply and saying the offer is still available, there is no need to repost it. If you have problems with the search function, please see the sticky rules post at the top of the first page of the forum, I have a post in there with advice and instructions.

I dont know if this where to post this at. But when I click search this forum nothing happens. I can not get nothing to come up to search. But if I click on a certain thread and click search this thread then it will let me search the thread. Just wanted to see if there is anything I need to do.

Ok I got it to work one time but now it is not working again.
