"About our Free Samples.
We are a small cottage business. All the soap is made in my kitchen, curing takes place on the back porch...Packaging and labeling takes place on the dining room table (something we haven't see in years!).
It seems that our offer for a free sample of soap, has been posted on several "Freebie" sites. When I releized that this had happened I told my daughter, "this is will be either a blessing or a curse".
Believing in miracles and the product that we produced, we attempted to keep up with all the requests. It had become apparent, that alot of people were ordering samples for all their friends, so we asked that request for samples be limited to one per email and address.
This did not work, with people requesting as many as 10 to 15 samples at a time.
I then did some research and saw that while we had had over 6000 hits (as of this date 9/29 9324 hits) and nearly 4000 requests, ONLY 250 people had taken the time to look at our website and see what we offered.
The whole purpose behind our sample offer was to allow people to smell, touch and feel what we produced as well as to bring people to us. I really wish that we were a larger business that could offer all the samples, pay for the envelopes and the postage to send out samples. I really wish, that has a single mother of two children, who works outside of the home (50 hours a week) as well as care for a farm, milking goats twice a day etc, had the time to make all that soap! While it is my desire and goal to farm full time, and to work in my soap business full time, I can't possible keep my business afloat on giving away samples, with no orders.
With all of this being said, at this time we have to stop our free sample offer. If you have any questions about the soaps or other products we offer, please send us an email and we will kindly answer them. In the future, I hope to offer this again, and we ask that if you want to link to us, that you contact us first, so we can advise you of our rules on the samples.
