| Fat problem
I have already had long term problems with being overweight (average 10.5 stone when I should be 9 stone). But I also suffer from hypothyroidism which makes your metabolism slow down and makes you fat and I take amitriptyline for its pain-killing properties but it also makes you fat. I can only really walk for exercise as I have a condition where I have pain when there is too much friction or pressure in my groin, so I don't see me being able to keep the weight off. Am I just going to be a big fatty for the rest of my life? I don't want to give up but I don't have much hope either.

Try these; Have a good diet Have breakfast regularly Ban salty food Try doing cardio exercises or aerobic workouts for 30-45 minutes per session in order to maximize benefits. Stopping after only 20 minutes will not do you any good, as considerable fat loss will only kick in when glycogen supply goes way down.

have some suggestions for you 1. did u ever go to see ur doctor? To have "Powdered Thyroid Tablets" taken first. You need to cure your basic disease first or will have slow way of losing weight. 2. did u ever try some exercises like yoga? because its quite effective to directly increase ur fat's metabolism. 3. The quickest way is to change your diet, but when you are on a diet, one key is to keep a balance of what your body needed. Like Goldshield USA's "multivitamine suppliments" or "protein bars for weight loss", they r good suppliments. (u can search for this forum for more info) But note that before you get better from low matebolism, go on diet is not the first way I recomend you to.
