Tummy exercise

Without using any equipment what is the best tummy exercise for toning your mid section? Links to any video clips would be great.

Re: Tummy exercise

It's a little difficult at first, but leg raise is the most effective, or at least I think so. You should also couple it with other abdominal exercises and a good diet. Stay away from sugar.

Re: Tummy exercise

I think you should do some situps and crunches. They're probably best at toning your midsection. There are different variations of the crunch too, and they vary in difficulty as well. It's best if you couple it with a diet and some cardio exercises.

Re: Tummy exercise

Leg raise, 10 counts, 3 sets... works the midsection fast. Of course you have to do other crunch styles of exercise.

Re: Tummy exercise

If you want something convenient and cheap get one of those 24" diameter inflatable balls. They're 10 bucks at bargain shops around me. I do sit ups laying down on the ball and it works great. Been doing them that way for over 2 years now.

is it really effective? because the way i see it, it's just the same as lying on the floor and doing the same exercises. educate me now.

Re: Tummy exercise

I don't do those sit-ups and crunches. It hurts my tummy. What i do is just a simple dancing. I suggest dancing rather than situps and crunches.

Re: Tummy exercise

I also enjoy dancing as well. Any type of fast dancing seems to work for me. I have some disco CD's that I love to use. I tried tried aerobics but could never keep up. This way I can dance at my own pace and enjoy. I suggest starting about 7 mins then increasing. I do 15 mins in the morning, and another 15 in the afternoon.

Good Luck
