| I'm Fat... I'm so overweight, and I can't stop myself from eating. I'm not so overweight that I can't move or get around. I am mobile, and without the use of any machines or anything. I don't have energy to excercise and I AM aware that could be a cop-out. I also know that cutting back on what I eat and how much I eat could also help me lose a lot of weight. Its tougher than just saying I'll do it. Anyone have any small suggestions. I will tell you that I have switched to diet soda's and drink more water now that I used too (even a year ago). Any other suggestions? Please be nice and don't be rude, it really is hard being overweight and not being able to have self-control.

| Re: I'm Fat... Hi Being fat in our society is not easy. I also have a weight problem last year I stopped drinking any kind of pop. I was a diet pop person now I don't drink pop at all. I drink water or crystal light. I feel a lot better. Some will say I took the easy way out cause I chose to have Lap Band surgery. But I can tell yoou from experience it is only a tool. YOu need to be willing to change your life style and part of that is to start moving (exercise daily) I will admit this past summer I have done bad with my exercising. I had hurt my knee and had to take it easy for a couple of months now is the time to get it back together and get back on the ball. Start slow be it just walking for 5 minutes at a time work your way up slowly and make sure to stretch befor you start out. Don't want to hurt yourself more :-) Good Luck I know you can do it if you want to. Me I have lost 80 have a way to go yet but I will make it.Take care marie |

| Re: I'm Fat... Diet sodas will make you feel drained from energy. Havent you seen the movie/documentary "Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World"? If you have not seen it, you should. Also, If i may post this, nutrition4skin.com/forum offers diet, exercise, health tips and lots of healthy recipes for weight loss. As well as natural supplements that help you. Be careful what you put into your body. Too many things will make you tired and hungry. Good luck.

| Re: I'm Fat... I lost about 40 pounds by just drinking several cups of water before I eat you should try it .It will take away most of your appetite. After awhile or so you get used to not eating and your body will adjust. Just give a try for a week you will get results. Every snack every meal drink several cups of water to get you full |

Something I like to do is wear a pedometer and try to get 10,000 steps a day-it is a lot to start so check with your dr. for a goal that is right for you. I believe a mile is about 2,000 steps. Making small changes at a time turn into habits. If you are a christian pray and ask for God's help. I reached a point where I was so frustrated with myself and hated how I felt. I prayed and said "God, I can't do this on my own. I need your help" Then one day I realized I wasn't snacking like I used to. I also realized and accepted that I need to exercise to feel good, to have energy and not dread putting on those jeans after they come out of the dryer Also, if you get a urge to go for a walk or some kind of exercise-do it when you think about it if possible. | Re: I'm Fat... Bless your heart! I struggle with my weight too! It is no fun! Just hang in there and trust the Lord to give you he strength and courage to do this! I'm trusting Him to help me also! We cannot do this alone........we need the help of the Lord! Don't let people judge you or make you feel bad, sometimes people need to look at themselves and their lives before looking at ours. | Re: I'm Fat... Have you tried Atkins? This really worked for me. You have to set some goals for yourself and be willing to put in some hard work. Join a community There are a lot of boards with very nice people having the same difficulties as you. I hope you have success. |

| Re: I'm Fat... There's a drink called Emergen-C which gives you energy if that's your problem with exercising and working out. Stay away from eating past 8 PM, The food in your digestive system won't disolve while your sleeping which adds to gaining weight and stay away from soda pops of any kind. It's not what you eat, but eat in moderation. Best of luck to you!

| Re: I'm Fat... I'm just starting out really. What's helped me so far is drinking alot and ice. When I'm over eating or snacking I'm not really eating because I love the taste of that food. I just want to chew on something. So I make sure to put ice my drinks and I chew on the ice. It has really helped me with my snacking. Drinking alot before meals helps. Using smaller plates, you can fill up the plate and still have less food than when you use a bigger plate. Go thru and minimize one problem food at a time. Like if you eat spaghetti 3 times a week, slowly go down to 1 time a week and eventually once a month. If your still hungry after you eat a meal wait 15 minutes, still hungry drink a glass of drink wait 15 minutes, still hungry eat an apple or whatever is your favorite fruit. Hope that helps.

| Re: I'm Fat... I do like chewing on stuff too. But I have a will-power problem. I think that I get bored too. Not so sure that stress makes me eat, but who knows. I'm a school bus driver, so I can't really afford to have weight loss surgeries, and honestly, that is the easy way out I would think. |

| Re: I'm Fat... It really helps out a lot, to have a friend help motivative you. And then theres also taking simple jogs around the house. Seriously, my friend is a pure gamer, a bit overweight by 20 lbs. I bribe him everyday to get him running home.

| Re: I'm Fat... i used to be overweight so i have an idea of what you are feeling. You really need to push yourself. Don't stop eating all at once. Slowly cut back on your food. Also watch the times when you eat. Usually people eat when they are stressed. If you change your habit to exercising when your stressed it will really help. Eat about 5 small meals through out the day and DONT SKIP MEALS! Goodluck!!
