| Its me again. I am just falling apart it seems. I have had a toothache for awhile now, but its getting worse. I've tried high doses of Ibuprofen and even prescription Ibuprofen, and my wife told me to try one of her Darvocet pills, and it helped for an hour, but then the pain started coming back. I just tried some warm salt water, maybe that will help. I know that the cure will be to have the dentist deal with the tooth. It is broken, so the dentist will probably just take it out. At this point, I am fine with it being extracted, I can't eat on that side anyway due to the pain. This is totally my fault, since I have never taken care of my teeth. The damage is done already. If there are any young people reading this forum, please take care of your teeth and you won't be in pain like I am. Need your prayers. Thanks.

| Re: Toothache Remedies??? Here is what a dentist told my ex many years ago. Take 2 asperine (must be asperine) and a coke (must be regular coke), down as much of the coke in one swig as you can. I've had tooth aches in the past and it works. Give it a try. ![]() |

| Re: Toothache Remedies??? First off I pray that your toothache is better! One thing that my bil did for a toothache was put pure cinnamon on a cotton ball and place it on the tooth......at first it will hurt like the dickens but then it will kill the nerve. Pure vanilla on it. Some hold whiskey in their mouth on the tooth. I am sure if I talked to my in laws I could get some more.

| Re: Toothache Remedies??? Although there haven't been clinical trials on natural toothache remedies to date, the following two home toothache remedies have been used in folk medicine to reduce toothache. * Apply cold compress * Gargle with salt solution Then see your doctor if pain persists. ------------------------------------------------ [Only registered and activated users can see links. | Re: Toothache Remedies??? Hi, Hope you still don't have any pain. Whoever said to put a clove on the tooth said just what I would've said. Cloves are natural anelgesics and by placing one (or a few) on the tooth and biting down on them, they'll soften and help to numb the pain. I've actually avoided dentists visits by using them. Also, one drop of clove oil works as well, but it does hurt first.

| Re: Toothache Remedies??? in case anyone wants a little tip... if you use oragel the one for the mouth sores works waay better.. also they make a thing now ( i havent tried it ) for sensative teeth thats suppost to work for up to three months.. you rub it across the teeth but NOT the gums.. and ibuprofin works better than asprine or tylonal though as far as pain relievers because its and anti inflamitory so it takes the swelling down.. but as i said before my friends ( and someone agreed yay! ) cloves really do work !! though im tempted to do try vanilla next time *hugs* |
