Crohn's Disease

I've had Crohn's disease since I was 20 years old. I am now 41 and have been on Remicade since 2003, and have been in total remission, praise God. Would love to hear from anyone else whose life has been infiltrated by this disease.

I have a SIL that has it. She has been managing it with her diet and homeopathic remedies. I was a little skeptical about the homeopathic stuff until she gave me thuya (sp?) for plantars warts. I was too embarassed and scared to go to the doctor. One day I looked at the bottom of my foot and they were gone! They haven't come back-it has been about 3-4 years.

Sometimes with the Crohns, I could use acidophilous, which really helped, and watch my diet, and that would help, but all the inflammation over the years scarred things up and I had to have surgery. Now I feel great.

My old roommate Michelle from Columbia University has Crohn's too. We used to all feel bad for her and help her out with things. Then she turns around and talks about us behind our backs!! I didn't realize this horrible disease affected the brain too!!!
