Fibromyalgia.,, I was wondering, I went to my rhuematologist for a visit today, and we are having to change my medicine again, because it has been causing trouble for my stomach and not working as well anymore. I was wondering how others have dealt with it, or rather their experience. I just turned 40 in November but this makes me feel much older at times. I had to go through 5 different meds before I found one that worked for awhile and didn't upest my stomach, but my body always gets immune to meds after prolonged use.
Anyone have things at home that help them? I have been doing things like trying to get a nap when I can after work, or take a hot bath at night, etc...
I have been more than my share like 3 knee surgeries, 2 kids, a partial hysterectomy and now this. Feel like I am falling apart at times.
My husband finally believed me to some extent after my doctor diagnosed me, but there are times I feel like he is competing with me since he is 46 and starting to complain about his share of aches and pains, especially when I am at my worst. I work at a restaurant, Chickfila six hours a day while my youngst son is in school, but have no other options open at this time and I do not want to stop working just because of this, I pray each day that God give me the strength I need for that day.
I have some good friends who are supportive, but I would be glad for any helpful info that me or my doctor can use especially things that don't cost a lot of money, since we are not exactly well off, having one in college and one in high school.
Thanks,
Twin66(kentucky)
