Just a heads up -

About a year ago, somebody at my ISP decided to sell our addresses to this magazine (we know it was them because they were addressed to [email][Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now][/email] with our address - no name).

Anyhow - the magazine is definetly NOT for anyone with preteens or younger in the house - lots of extremely violent pictures inside along with some ads for adult products!

I was not amused when the first one showed up & had to fight with the magazine for almost three months to get off of their list. :(

That is surprising to hear you say that. Of all the videogame magazines out there Gamepro and Nintendo Power are known for being aimed at the pre-teen crowd. I have not recieved Gamepro in years, but I can't believe it has gotten that bad. :(

Our subscription to Gamepro just ran out, my teen likes it for the codes. To tell you the truth I never paid that much attention to what was inside since it was directed at teens. But thanks for the heads up, I will definitely be paying attention now when it arrives.

I didn't really check either until my 4 year old asked me why the man was being blown up! :(

My kids all love their Nintendos - we have 3 game boys, a old SNES & a N64 ;) But I do limit the younger ones games to those without violence - just as we do the the TV. Unfortunately, more and more of the games are made with the "shoot everything in sight & show as much blood and gore as possible" mentality. And, from the one issue I saw, I noticed that this magazine did cover those games as well as advertised for many others.

Nintendo Power is still a great buy - they seem to keep the graphics shown to a minimum on the violence level. But my older son complains that they don't give enough cheats... which is when I remind him that he should just study the game & learn to do without. :D
