Angry 1800Flowers Lets Me Down!!!!!

I ordered flowers for Mother's Day from 1800Flowers.com and THEY DID NOT ARRIVE. They were supposed to be delivered on Friday, as of Sunday they still not arrived and the CS representative had no explanation and was not apologetic.

What a bummer. Thank's for ruining my mother's day!!! I've had problems with them before, but they've always made up for it in the past. NEVER AGAIN!!!

1800flowers has ALWAYS been a problem for us! Consistantly late deliveries, and flowers delivered were never as ordered & paid for, but cheaper subsitutions and died within a couple of days. ARGH! Our family now orders from ftd.com, and everything comes when it is supposed to and wonderfully fresh! Any arrangements I've personally received have lasted at least two weeks. And when I "clean up" the arrangement - remove any dead or dying stuff, clip a bit of the stem off the remaining flowers and rearrange into a smaller bouquet, I can get another week or two! Plus - the local ftd florist that delivers here (rural area, 25 miles from town) always calls to let me know he's coming. I have nothing but compliments for ftd! :) Would _never_ deal with 1800flowers again...

Well, Being an FTD Florist, I couldnt help but comment on this post.
1800flowers overcharges on their service fees its usually $8.95...
In our town its 3.99 that we charge to send the order to another florist out of our town.

I highly recommend FTD because the florists have to meet special qualifications before they can become a member.
Alot of times the best thing to do is lookup on FTD's website and you can even call the florist directly and use a credit card and know exactly what they have available and stuff. :)We are teleflora also which has some really nice holiday special keepsake arrangements, but recently they merged with afs and every shop that was afs is now teleflora which I am not fond of them instantly being that because some shops just dont have the quality and could get in afs just by opening a store. SO NOW those stores get to wear the Teleflora logo.

I am sorry about your experiences with them.
In our shop, we try to get all of the deliveries the sunday of mother's day if we cant catch the recipient home on the friday or saturday before.

Re: 1800Flowers Lets Me Down!!!!!

On May 8th 2007, I ordered flowers for My Mother from 1800Flowers. They were supposed to be delivered the next day (May 9th, 2007), well in time for Mother's Day which was May 13, 2007. On May 16th, I got as call from my Mom. SHE NEVER RECEIVED THE FLOWERS!!!!

I contacted 1800Flowers that night. After arguing with them for several minutes, a Supervisor finally cam on and promised TO DELIVER THE FLOWERS AND GIVE A FULL REFUND.

I never received notification of the delivery, and I never saw my bank account credited anything. I called my Mother to find out that they finally were delivered on Saturday (TEN DAYS LATE, AND SIX DAYS PAST MOTHERS DAY).

I called 1800Flowers today (MAY 22nd) to find out what happened to my refund, as was told that they never refund the whole amount if the flowers are eventually delivered. They claimed that they had nothing in the notes about it.

I demanded to speak to a supervisor, and when I told him that I would tell everyone I know how I was treated, I was told to do whatever I had to do.

So, I am here to tell people not to do business with this company. THEY LIED TO ME. They ruined my Mother's Mothers Day. They are not to be trusted, and I am telling everyone not to do business with them, unless they find such treatment acceptable.

Re: 1800Flowers Lets Me Down!!!!!

Hi,
That's awful and such a shame that companies are getting away with this. You could try filing a complaint with the online better business bureau, they helped me out a lot one time. www.bbb.org, I "think", if not, a search will turn it up for you - can't hurt.
Marilyn - Good Luck.
