Hmmm.. just tried the website & they wanted full retail plus shipping for the sunglasses.

Is there some code that you're supposed to use, a different url or a number to call to get these for the price of shipping alone?

DH loved the look of one pair - but he's not getting them if I have to pay almost $200! 8\

Question vexxoptics

in my fitness magazine they have the same deal from vexx opticsin OR. I tried their website and it is under construction. the glasses look the same. they say they have a 30 day money back on postage and handling. has anyone seen this or tried these glasses? I dont usually pay that much for sunglasses, with 3 kids walmart is top quality for me:), but i would be willing to pay $9 for a pair of $80 glasses if they were good:)

interested in peoples opinions on both deals.

karen

Thumbs down Buyer Beware

I agree with tasker109. I did a similar deal a few years ago (maybe four?) with another company. I didn't feel that the glasses that I got were worth the postage. You could even see that there were differences between the right and left sides!

Well, that was a few a years ago and I haven't seen the "deal" for quite a while. But recently, I have seen several similar ads. Call me paranoid, but warning bells are ringing off the hook for me. It kind of reminds me of those stories about how the same scams pop up every so often in cycles (maybe I'm being a little harsh, but it's hard to candy-coat something that I, based on previous experience, believe to be a little "fishy"). I don't want to scare you, but I wouldn't expect too much in way of quality. That said, if anyone does order these glasses, please post at DoD and let everyone know how it all turned out. I would love to be able to "eat my words" so to speak, but I am pretty confident that I won't.

Enough negativity, though. Keep those deals coming!

Shocked

DO NOT TRY IT!!!
They started as gattacca sunglasses. Now they have come out with a couple of different names like the ones above (futuri, vexx etc.). It is the same company though. It is the same address in Bend, OR. I don't know how they are able to switch names like that. The glasses are a joke.
No even worth the $9 shipping.
When I ordered, the first shipment got lost. They charged my CC. It took them another 2 months to reship. When I finally got them, I returned them all because they were very cheap pieces of crap. DO NOT TRY THEM!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

Personally I ordered these glasses from Glamour magazine a few months ago, when they were still Gattacca (if it is the same company). My sunglasses came quickly, and I was actually impressed with the quality, considering I only paid shipping. Maybe it varies with the style you choose, or perhaps they have gotten better...I'd say, buy not expecting much, atleast you can't be disappointed.

Chatter box Re: Free sunglasses, just pay s&h. anyone try this?

I bought some recently off of E-Bay. WOW, they are very fine quality. They must have learned from their mistakes earlier when they were doing those cheap offers to you guys. I never saw them then, but, I am pleased with what I received. I purchased a VEXX and a Futuri pair off of E-Bay for the starting bid of around $30. I guess no one else realizes how nice these really are. I just won another pair for my son and he definately like them. They are very light and the lenses are great for driving. They are very worth a try. Like I said earlier, that company you are talking about must have improved their process. I saw the same ones at the mall for over $100 and they were in the same case with the Oakleys and Guccis. Something must have gone right with these fine sunglasses.
