Mine is cheese dip and tortilla chips. But the problem is, the best I've ever had is from Raul's Mexican Restaurant in Des Moines, IA. That was fine when we lived there, but now we are six hours away! WAAAAHHHH! So here I use fried chicken from the deli at my grocery store.

I guess mine would be mashed potatos...no gravy. I really had to think about it cuz I'm also an ice cream FREAK. But, I have, on rare occasions, turned down ice cream. I don't think I've ever turned down mashed taters...lol. And when I feel icky, tired, feeling sorry for myself, I reached for the box of instant mashed potatos. Yep, I'm a nondiscriminating tater junkie...hahahaha.

This is kind of interesting..I saw this post yesterday and I was thinking of all the foods I just LOVE to eat, but then I thought about it and comfort food is something I consider to be a quick grab type thing.
Last night went to the grocery very late and wouldn't you know it..I wanted a little "comforting"..I checked out everything from those frozen single meals to the candy aisle. Whelp, I wanted something THEN not after I got home. I decided on those little pinwheel looking donuts made by Nickles (they come in a bag)..thankfully drinking that vinegar yesterday made me feel guilty so I only ate 2..lol, as if I don't feel enough guilt already on a daily basis..hee hee! I was also tempted by the Peanut Butter M&M's...I know I wouldn'tr have stopped at 2 if I got those..lol!

HMMM I always thought comfort food was meat, potatoes, and gravy or chicken pot pie-something hot, casserole like or smothered in sauce.:) The way my mom made it of course. I never thought of ice cream or desserts to be comfort food. Maybe it varies with region of the country or temperature...;)
