Ok...had to stop in here before heading off to bed..I use to drink Tab all thru High School..then got hooked on Mt. Dew..gained toooooo much weight and went to Diet Dew. I still see Tab at our Meijers Store (maybe even Krogers, will look next time I go). Love Zingers, Raspberry kind..oh yeah baby....Have seen the plastic bubble stuff at a few places..one of which was the Dollar General..Surge, never liked it, but I did think I was the only person who tasted a difference in soda when it was in cans or bottles, prefer bottles, but I can't find Diet Dew in the 6 pack 20oz. bottles, just singles and our stores seem to always have the 6 pack (bottles) on sale! LOVED Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific Shampoo!!

My all time favorite thing I wish I could get was a breakfast cereal called "Buckwheats"..it tasted more like a bran flake w/ a brown sugar, maple syrup tasting coating..it looked like it was high glossed. LOL! I called General Mills and they stopped making it YEARS AND YEARS ago..I can't find Chex Bran Cereal (NOT multi-bran, just Bran) anymore and I use to buy it, add a touch of maple syrup and that was about as close as I could get to Buckwheats.

I also miss living in a spotless house like my Mom kept..she trained us well when living under her roof, but I totally suck at doing that well with MY OWN HOME!! LOL! I miss having someone fuss over me when I am sick and I miss sitting in my bedroom doing absolutely nothing, yet no one else bothered me, unless of course it was nice outside and my Dad would decide to make us do yard work..you know "so you can get out and enjoy the weather"...NOT! LOL! I do miss the quietness, I actually could have a thought to myself..hee hee:)

Chatter box memories...

I wish Gee Your Hair Smells Teriffic was still around too... but my favorite shampoo and Conditioner when I was in Jr. High was Long and Silky, they don't make that anymore I guess. And I loved Marathon bars too. Also had a 7_UP candy bar that had 7 little sections and each had a different filling...used to love those! My all time favorite thing was Indian pumpkin seeds. They were a nickel a bag and so SALTY!!! Still find them every once in awhile, but not alot.

Dancema - They still make puffpaints. As a matter of fact, I have some here left over from a birthday party last year :) I got some of them at Michael's & others at WalMart.

And Chippers - My Mom & Dad have been married forever (their one & only marriage). Hubby & I celebrated our 20th this last December and my sister is almost at her 6th (she waited to marry). My hubby had 5 brothers - all married, no divorces & his parents were married for 57 years when my father in law passed away. I guess long standing marriages run in both sides of our family because I only know about 2 divorces in both of our extended families (including cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. - a total of over 100 people).

And thanks for the TAB link - I lived on this stuff through high school & college and really missed it when it disappeared (although now DietCoke has taken its place :) )

Sweetheart Soap.

Loved the oval shape, the lack of fragrance, and best of all, how long it lasted -- much longer than any other soap I've ever tried.

I have been looking for Tootsie Roll Pop Drops for years and have not been able to find them....they were so good and you didn't have to have the stick hanging out your mouth!

I also remember Buckwheats Cereal, I loved that too!

I am getting hungry reading some of these posts! I too long for a Taco Lite, a Marathon Bar, and Tootsie Pop Drops - used to buy those as a kid when I had spare change!

I also miss the candy bar called ChocoLite. It was sort of like a Crunch bar, but thick and very light. I miss Nesbitt's flavored sodas. I heard you can get them in Mexico, but I am not a traveler!

I also remember using the plastic bubbles, and yes, there is a commercial for that stuff, but it is expensive with shipping and all. My son is begging for it as he watches cartoons all the time and sees the commercial.

My Grandmother loved a candy called SinSin (sp?) It was flavored like black licorice and it came in a pouch. It was in tiny squares. I hated it, but she'd love to have it again if anyone knows where to get it.

I read inmy newspaper once of a Website that carried hard to find candy, but I didn't see any of my favorites, and my bookmark got erased - I didn't write down the site's name. Too bad, maybe some of these other candies are on there.

Deanna,

Could you be thinking about http://www.hometownfavorites.com

Even if you weren't, you might want to check out its candy section.

Tongue

Was the cereal you are remembering possibly Count Chocula or Frankenberry, or Booberry? The stores around here still sell the Count Chocula, but not the other two.

Was the bubble stuff called Fantastic Plastic? I think I saw a commercial for it on T.V. recently.
