Any Avon representatives out there?

I'm thinking of becoming an Avon lady! (or should I say representative!) I love Avon products, and I'm looking for a way to make some extra money. Anybody have an experience as an Avon rep? Thanks!! :)

i did it for a couple of years and didnt make much...i was my own best costomer...LOL.....my avon lady does pretty good though....she couldnt live on it but she makes enough to keep doing it. i buy online now and SHE gets the credit. i just put her phone number in and when she gets her reports, she gets the credit for the sale. i just placed an order last night and got 4 free things.....used a free shipping code too. good luck with your venture!!

Thanks Tasker. Well, I was also wondering whether people buy Avon online now more than using a rep, and it sounds like you made the switch yourself. I used to help a friend sell her stuff but I only got a discount on my purchases. I was also my own best customer! Their site is pretty nice, I don't know if there's much need for reps anymore. Thanks again! :)

My best friend is an Avon rep. She definately doesn't make enough to live off of, but she has her fun money! I went to the Avon Christmas party two years ago. It was the best! (Of course, I don't go to many exciting parties!!) They gave away about 5 $100. - $300. prizes, I got three good gift baskets with lots of avon stuff and general Christmas gift stuff. It was really nice and I remember some of the people doing really well selling the stuff. One lady had to have worked for a large company and put her catalog in the breakroom! She just started, sold tons of stuff and got a lot of incentives from Avon and a special award. I think she won a TV at the Christmas party.

I also sold for a few years, and yeah, I was also my own best customer. If you can resist buying, you can do pretty good. They usually have weekly or monthly meetings which are kinda fun and you can win free stuff.
