Re: You will never guess what I am sleeping on!!

My pain issues also created many bed and sleeping problems for me, with our old mattress, one of those ultra cheap things, when I woke up in the morning, I could barely stand up because I was in so much pain. I mean, I am in pain every day, all day now, but it that crappy mattress we had just made it worse, plus the bed frame that we got with it was screwed up and it would not lock together correctly. It was a king sized bed, so the box springs are split into two pieces, well it was the middle hook on the frame that wouldn't hold together, so it would come apart and the whole bed would start sagging in the middle. Not good for me at all with my spinal issues. Anyway, we tossed the frame and put the box springs and mattress on the floor, which was a little better, but not much because then there is no give.

So last year andywon decided to buy us a whole new bed. We picked a tall one, so basically I can just sit and I am on the bed, no stooping or bending to get in and no climbing either. It has a beautiful four poster frame, and due to my spinal issues, we bought a semi-firm Sealy Posteurpedic mattress set.

Wow, what a difference, when I wake up, my pain is much better as compared to when I was sleeping in the old bed.

Mayfly, did you ever get a new mattress? I SWEAR by the sleep number! I don not have one now and I wish I did. I bought one when I was still with Kevin, but that is one of the items I had to leave behind when I left him. Unfortunately as I was starting out my new life I had to purchase many items and could not afford this mattress along with all of the other items I needed. My back pain went away and I know this will sound crazy, but my headaches and stuffy nose also subsided. I always woke up feeling refreshed! I STRONGLY recommend a sleep number. Goodness knows if I could afford it I would have one now! Yes, they are expensive but also WELL worth the investment!

Hey, andywon and I were wondering about those beds and if they were as good as they claim, thanks for the review.

Adendum- So I said I like softer mattresses better- Well, I have found that to not be true! My friend just ordered the 8" mattress from www.RestOnClouds.com and she LOVES it, but I like my 10" better. I thought I would like hers better, but I tried sleeping on it and my back feels MUCH better on my 10" mattress. Don't get me wrong, the 8" was great, but the 10" is hands down better (for me anyway). It's firm, but not tooooooo firm.

Re: You will never guess what I am sleeping on!!

So here is the end of the bed saga....

I still was having bad rib pain on the air mattress. We tried our regular mattress on the floor, still had problems. So we started looking for a bed. I tried the tempurpedic because I heard good things about it, and they may be great, but they are hard to get out of!

We finally went with a Beauty Rest Plush, because the coils are not connected to each other (so you don't tip towards each other, or towards the edge, etc). It was on sale for (Gulp) 899. It really hurt to buy it!!! then when we got home I put on my memory foam topper to "make it soft". I was still having back aches!!

finally tried it without the topper, and ahhhhhh. Its the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I actually look forward to going to bed. It use to be like a torture devise!

We called about a month later to check on the price of that mattress set, and it was up to $1299! So we did get a good deal, but I think it BITES that mattresses cost that much. I mean, COME ON! Its a bunch of springs, a bit of padding, and some matterial! sheesh!

I bought a mattress after reading this forum from RestOnClouds.com. Just wanted to let everyone know they're as good as they say! I love it!
