Re: How do you figure WW Points?
OMG! That sounds to good to be true. Has anyone done this by themselves? I wondered if I could come up with a book with the points in it. Is it a slow weight loss? On the Atkins I can usually lose 5 pounds the first 2 weeks. Then it gets really slow. And I start to get tired of eating meat and salad!!!!
All weightloss is a slow weightloss. Over and over you'll hear 1-2 pounds a week. I don't remember the exact numbers, but a pound is so many calories, and the body can only burn enough calories to burn 2 pounds a week on average.

When I was on weight-watchers, I lost 2 pounds a week on average. Now that I'm counting calories, it's still in that range.

I lost 8 pounds the first week of counting calories. The first couple weeks is usually good, but it's a lot of water weight.

Weight-watchers shows you how to eat smart. You see that you can have a chicken breast, potato, and green beans for 5 points . . . or a snickers bar. lol You actually want to save your points for good food, because you can eat more of the good stuff.

Anyway . . . it's a great program. I did it on my own. Bought the books/caculator, etc. Then I used the weight watcher bulletin boards for support. You can use those for free. Even though I'm not doing the points system right now, I'm still using a lot that I learned from WW. I learned the real value of foods.

Re: How do you figure WW Points?

Last year I did the Atkins diet. And I was so determined. Dropped 7 pounds the first 2 weeks and thought it was gonna be so easy. Then I went almost 2 months and didn't lose anything--didn't cheat and was starving. Then after that 2 months I started dropping about 1 to 2 pounds a week. Everyone told me to go off it when I wasn't losing--they said that my body just wasn't "in tune" with this diet. But I was stubborn and knew it was supposed to work, so I stuck with it. Have been on it 2 weeks this time and so far have lost 5 pounds, but my mind is telling me that it's time for sweets(LOL). Just don't know if I can get the mind thinking anything other then "no Carbs" (LOL). But I may check ebay on this WW thing--Thanks

Re: How do you figure WW Points?

No and yes. I went ahead and did a Buy It Now after losing the auction. I bought the super duper package and an extra diary (for DW).

Re: How do you figure WW Points?

I have a question for any weight watcher folks out there...
What is your favorite low-points salad dressing and your favorite low-points snack?
