DYSON sweeper

We havwe been using our Dyson for a couple of months. The suction is great. So good that it removes the carpet threads themselves. That is BRAND NEW carpet as well as, older carpeting. Cant tell how dirty the carpet is. Spend most of my time puliing carpet thread from the beater bar. Anyone else out there seeing this?? Thanks. Ron

Re: DYSON sweeper

Nope and mine are used on berber, plush, and sculptured carpet. The only problem I have with them is atleast once every 6 mos I have to clean out the turbo with a air compressor.

Re: DYSON sweeper

We haven't had this problem. Only problem we had was my dad got frustarated with the tube and jammed it back in and punctured it! LOL figure! But a simple call to customer service and they sent us a new one...for FREE! We've had it now for 2 years and it still works GREAT! We do clean the filter every few months...all you do is rinse it out I believe and let it dry overnight.

I can't eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeven begin to express how much I love my Dyson. It vacuums circles around our 2 ton Kirby. Maybe you should call CS...could possibly have something wrong with your particular vacuum.

What is the phone number that I would call?? There is no way that these vac is working as described. I clean out the tube everytime I empty. Including using air compressor. We installed new carpeting and the beater bar becomes TOTALLY tangled with carpet threads. Thanks!! Ron

Re: DYSON sweeper

OH NO!! mouse is talking DYSON again. HAHAHAHAHA! Her OCDD (obsessive compulsive dyson disorder) is coming out of the closet. They are good machines, and the times I have had to call them they have gone out of their way to send me what I need. My son tore the extension tube I called and had it in less than a week. FREE!

Re: DYSON sweeper

Well I wanted to take my one Dyson and play "flat Stanley" with it. Take it to the park take a pic in front of swings, to the pool, the park...I just thought it could be really funny. Asked my kids to help out...ROFL they now whisper about me behind their hands.

Re: DYSON sweeper

I am in love with my Dyson, too! And I've actually used mine for PEST CONTROL! The first rains of fall had several nests of ants moving into our house. I found them moving all their larvae (yuck!) under my Fax machine and my cordless phone. (I guess these generate a little warmth.) I just pulled out my trusty Dyson and vaccuumed those suckers up! I got all the adults and the babies, so no more ants! The only problem was with my very tender-hearted 7 yr. old son; he was worried that the ants would get hurt. But I just told him that it was like going on a carnival ride for them, wheeeeee!

Must be some ride with all that cyclonic action! We used it all summer to vaccum up all the nasty hoppers that would get into our house. Only bad thing is they stink and it made the hose smell, but hey it's worth it to get rid of those things.
