They have some good prices, but it says this price if you buy 3, do you have to buy 3? Does the price change if you order just one? Are the shipping charges outrageous? I ordered from them YEARS ago and I had it shipped to a business, so I don't know about shipping to a home address. TIA - jen

They want you to purchase 3 items from the catelog (not 3 of the same item). I think LTD says the same thing, but I've ordered less than that before and it went through fine - price didn't change.

The shipping cost does go up if delivered to a home. I don't know exactly how much though - because I've always had it delivered to a business.

Ive been ordering from ABC Distributing (as well as other discount shopping stores) for years & no, you don't have to order in lots of 3, but if you pull some friends together (at work, church, neighbors, etc) and place one big order (of same or other items) you WILL save on shipping. I've read some complaints about ABC Distributors, especially about their customer service, but like I said - I've ordered for years & have never had a problem. The prices are great - cheap shopping.

Any purchasing from ABC Distributing or LTD Commodities LLC is strickly BUYER BEWARE. There are several persons in our office who have buying experience from ABC. The following problems are common place:

Shipping charges are excessive. They split up an order to make multiple shipments to you to tack on the shipping charges to each package. Many reputable companies do not charge you "shipping" on back orders.

Delivery on many items takes twice as long as you would expect and some items are no longer available. Try ordering something in time for Christmas or a birthday. Go ahead and buy yourself some "sorry it's late cards"

Workmanship and quality of many of their clothing, furniture and other items are shoddy at best. You will be ashamed to give it to someone as a gift.

Reaching someone by phone is almost impossible, especially if it's their credit department. Use a phone with a speaker on it, so you can do something while you wait and be prepared to be transfered around and hung up on. It helps to have a redial button.

Email responses are "canned responses" that fit your question or problem. Many times the response is not helpful or does not resolve your problem.

Not all prices from this company are bargains. We have found a few "exactly the same" items or better in our local Walmart store at cheaper prices and NO SHIPPING CHARGES.

Oh, yes! There is one or two people in our building that think this company is great. They have only bought once from ABC and not at a busy season and only one item at a time and don't remember what the shipping charges were.

So, if you think you want to try them out - go ahead. As for me - no thanks - I'm taken.

Just like taken in texas I've experienced the same problem with shipping I ordered aboout $150.00 worth of stuff and received items separately and small items where shipped in this big box (1 per box) I was upset when I calculated the shipping. I did call to ask why they had shipped my order separatelly after I was on hold for 30 min I was told it comes from different warehouses. Well that's dumb I returned the items I had purchased ALL in 1 box and will never again buy from them If I want cheap I'll go to wal-mart and put up with them at least their return policy is easier.
