Re: Hershey Park?

I love Hershery Park, it is the coolest place to go.

I used to live about 1 hour from there so we would go at least a few times a year.

There are lots of great roller coasters, water rides, all kinds of kids rides. There is also a neat zoo within the park. A monarail ride, that I think went through the zoo also.

Don't miss the chocolate world tour. You sit in hershey kiss shaped seats and ride through and see how chocolate is made. It smells so good!! At the end you get a free sample of chocolate.

I want to take me girls there when we get back up that way to visit.

Re: Hershey Park?

We were in Hershey last fall on our month-long journey to the East. We did not go to the park, but we did do the factory tour. Note that you don't really get to go into the factory though.

Re: Hershey Park?

My family and I are going there on the 25th of July. I was able to get a room at the Crowne Plaza & Resort on Hotwire.com for $59 per night (in Harrisburg...8 mi. away) Try there. Go to www.visitpa.com You can request brochures for all of the areas around and in Hershey. It's southcentral PA fyi There is an outlet mall too! hehe Have fun...when we get back, maybe we can compare notes...when are you going? Debbie

BTW...
Sunoco gas stations have discount coupons...if you don't have one near you, email me and I'll send you some. You can also "preview" the park for the last few hours it is open the night before you have your tickets for...absolutely free. (buy tickets for Wed, preview on Tues night) Call the park and find out how many hours are free. This is a great time to watch the laser show....you don't have to stop the kiddies from riding.

Do you know if the coupons are just at PA Sunoco stations? We don't seem to have them at our local (NY) Sunocos. Also, do you know if the coupons are valid for "Two Day" tickets?

Thanks!

Re: Hershey Park?

Hi,

I was not ignoring you guys, I only just got back and this is my first chance to get on the board! I will check the Sunoco's, and if they have any, I would be glad to send them to you. Also, if you visit the website I gave you, you can request info for the nearby communities. They usually have discount coupons too. If you visit, head to the Storm Runner first thing. The line is LONG for a 1 minute ride, but well worth it.
This is the cleanest park I ever visited. They do not allow bathing suits to be worn throughout the park, and ask that you dress modestly. When you go to the water ride area (and all parks should contain the water rides in one area) you can wear your bathing suit around, but have to dress when you leave the area. Also nearby is Indian Echo Caverns. Make sure you visit this. It was awe inspiring. There is also an Antique Car Museum nearby too. They even have a bus section! I will check the Sunoco's asap and get back to you all. Have a great time!
