| Re: Would you consider taking a Greyhound bus for this long?? Yes, I always take Amtrack when I go to NY. Don't have to drive in the big city, don't have to get a ride from the aiport. The train drops me off at Grand Central Station and I'm right in the middle of the city. It's so easy. And the ride is pretty, fairly comfortable. More comfortable than a plane. They have a food car and you can walk around at a few stops.

| Re: Would you consider taking a Greyhound bus for this long?? My son once took a Greyhound bus trip from Pgh., to IA. I think it took almost 2 days IIRC. He's 6.4" tall. All I remember is how much he complained about being so very uncomfortable and hot.

| Re: Would you consider taking a Greyhound bus for this long?? A bus trip for that long, don't think so. You'll get up from sitting that long and your legs will be really stiff, not to mention, you'll be anxious by the time you get to your destination. I'd find a cheap plane flight, or like some of the others said, take the train.

| Re: Would you consider taking a Greyhound bus for this long?? I took a 30 + hour bus trip with my hubby, his blind parents, and our girls when they were 4 and 6! It was draining but it really was not that bad. THe worst part was going through Washington DC and the bus was very crowded at night, but that was only for a couple of hours. We changed buses a few times and had one long stopover at the station. Actually, the worst part of the trip was when we were supposed to get on one bus but it was going to be crowded, so they transferred us to another. I wanted to stay and make sure our luggage got on the right but because the person transferring the luggage did not know we were going on a different bus. My hubby gave me a hard time and said they had it under control to lets just go. So he dragged me off. When we got to our destination, all of the luggage made it okay, except for mine and his mothers! I did not get my luggage for three days!! Anyway, that could happen on a plane, train or whatever! The ride itself, considering we had two little ones, was bearable. BTW, it was a round trip so we had to do it twice!! God Bless!! Angie B<><

| Re: Would you consider taking a Greyhound bus for this long?? I just typed your dates(4/30-5/3) into some of the consolidator websites I listed previously and the cheapest fares come up at $202-210 so you should maybe check that out and hopefully they won't all be sold out :) |
