Has anyone ever heard of Universal Sweepstakes?(I got a strange phone call!)

I got a phone call at work today and was unable to come to the phone. My secretary told me that Universal Sweepstakes called and that the woman that called needed to speak to me personally because I had won a large prize. (BTW, I use my work phone, never give out my home phone. And, besides, I am at work, which is my own business, all day anyway.)

The curious thing is that I NEVER HEARD OF UNIVERSAL SWEEPSTAKES, the caller was not terribly polite, would not give a phone number to call back, and never did call me back after calling early this AM. I am sure I could have forgotten a sweepstakes since I enter so many, but this is not even familiar!

I figure it is a scam of some sort and I ought to forget it. Any thoughts on the subject or did you ever hear of this Sweeps?

Each time I was unable to come to the phone and they will NOT leave ANY message! They now have my home phone number....have not called here yet..will keep you posted if this really is something. One more thing, I DID find out that they are in Virginia, whatever that means! 8\
