| KMart Stops Taking Internet Coupons
I just came from K-Mart. They have signs posted saying that they no longer accept internet or printed coupons or ones that appear to have been copied. I don't think this is a local store policy, it appeared to be an official K-Mart policy directive. I can understand why they are doing it but it stinks that you can't use a legitimate coupon there. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. It's because of coupon abuse that these things happen. Next time you see someone bragging about altering or printing 25 coupons and using them at a store (essentially ripping the store off), you should give them a good tongue lashing and remind them how much they are screwing over everyone by doing it. I can see how stores are tired of coupons being abused. They try to do us a favor and some greedy dweebs take unfair advantage of it and ruin it for all of us. __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. When we lived in So Cal, I remember many of the grocery stores putting limits on how many coupons you could use for a specific item (i.e., if you were using General Mills cereal coupons, you could only use three coupons and you had to get three cereals, no more no less). I think the reason the stores did that way back when was to fight back against people who took advantage of some stores' "unlimited coupons" policy. As with everything else in life, a few abusers have to spoil it for the rest of us! ![]() __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. I think if someone doesn't want to have their coupons copied or duplicated they should have a system or some type of indicator that the coupon is not a dupicate. It really wouldn't be that hard to have the warning that checks or birth certificates etc.. have on them, on the coupon or certificate. Or even a quicker expire date, so it doesn't get to the public everywhere or on ebay where people sell them. Or maybe a marker that only changes color on the paper or vs. versa. to tell if the paper came from their printers. And they should just send out coupons, maybe, in the mail. I don't know, if they are doing this, it makes me think they aren't trying to hard to let the genuine people use them. These are all just different ways I think they should do to go the extra mile to make their customers happy. Giant Food has stopped accepting internet coupons for free items. I guess that is an acceptable compromise since those are probably the most likely to be abused. __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Doesn't Coolsavings put that little pig on the coupons that supposedly disappears when you photo copy it? Maybe online coupons will have to be to the point where they print your name on them and in bold say ONLY ONE COUPON PER CUSTOMER. I can't believe that some people get so crazy about coupons! I love coupons, but would never stoop to that level. When they have Buy One Get One Free sales I do like to try and use 2 coupons if I have them, but I usually don't even have 2 coupons! __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. I guess there are so many ways to abuse internet coupons that stores can't be expected to always know which are legitimate and which are not. I usually have black ink only in my printer since I print a lot of stuff so my coupons probably look like photocopies. I can't really blame the stores for trying to protect themselves. __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]
