Since Im new at this couponing thing (at least on the level everyone else is) can someone do a list of all the abbreviations I am seeing?

Also where can I get some of the software so I can catalog my coupons? I have looked EVERYWHERE online for a free download or even a pay download for the Ca$hIn Software .. HELP!!

Love Thank you thank you!

Thank you I would love to trade, do send me a PM with your email! I have WAY more than I could ever use & I dont have some of the ones I would like to have, so trading is a great idea... I am STILL entering coupons right now and Im not even close to done --- this is A LOT of work up front but I know its worth it!

Thank you again for the software link - wow this is GREAT -- Anyone that is new you should be sure and get this download, its a pain to type all these in - but just at first -- I can really see this being a time saver when Im shopping the ads! I must get out and get a baseball card book cuz my old system is not going to work now hehe!

I went to the store earlier and followed the rules of not buying anything that wasnt on sale AND on my list -- and I am so proud of myself LOL - I SAVED 38 and only spent 28! Dh couldnt believe it until I showed him the tape LOL ...Neither could the cashier - I told the cashier I was still a newbie and when I was REALLY great at this he would be paying ME to take the groceries LOL ... I also talked to my mail carrier about leaving me extra Sunday papers (He left me 4 extras from LAST Sunday when I was gone!!)

I downloaded the program

and boy are my little fingers tired from all that typing, lol.
BUT I know it will literally pay off.

I wish I could stick to only buying things on sale and with a coupon........but I guess I have to get a good stockpile going first to build off of.

We'll all be coupon commandos.....never paying retail again
I am still shocked at how much money that can be saved. I am a stay at home mom and saving money is a big priority, so I am really getting into this

Thanks again for all the tips and download info

LocaChica Thanks so much! Also if you don't mind.........is there some set rule to coupon selling? Is it a percentage or is it just up to those trading? Thanks again!

oh gosh, I won't even DARE answer this because everyone has their own set of "rules". Some people think 10% of the value is fair, while others will go so far as to ask for 50% if the coupon is "hot" and difficult to come by. I think Verwon will have a good answer.

Thx so much 4 all the info Verwon! Glad the OP asked the question,as so many of these I didn't know either!

I'll try the download even though I don't post a lot of coupons. I really prefer to trade them~that way you don't have to worry about: "what's a fair price".

JMHO,but I sometimes am surprised that people ask so much for something that generally cost them a minimal amt to begin with...

Standard trading values are:
5cents for a coupon up to $1 and under
10cents for coupons $1 and over
Plus postage

Consider it approximately one ounce for each 50 coupons.

Many people though will trade for other coupons, a few cents a coupon, potlucks etc.

Everyone has their own set of rules, just as Loca said so you will variations but these are the general guidelines.

Free coupons and "HOT" coupons can command a better trade value.

It is illegal to sell coupons but you can charge a handling fee for your time clipping and gathering them as well as postage to mail them.
