Who doubles coupons?

Iowa stores that double:

Eagle - Doubles up to $.60 every day

Hy Vee (ONLY the one in Mt Pleasant) - up to $.50 every day

Econofoods- several stores now doing triples Fri-Sat-Sun every 3-4 months (Ottumwa and Cedar Rapids stores for certain)

ANYONE know of stores in Iowa that take expireds??

HyVee doubles coupons. They're supposed to double on Mon & Tue on all coupons up to .50. Sometimes I need to remind the cashier & some will only double on certain products (like no dairy or something else strange, but then they'll double ALL coupons no matter how much they're for ). Just grab one of their coupon books the next time you're in the store & then show the cashier that she's supposed to be doubling your mfg. coupons.

EconoMart used to double here too but they stopped when they merged with EconoFoods. But, the EconoFoods in Watertown doubles, so maybe yours in SF will too!

Here in Somerest, PA the best place to go is Bilo they double up to .99, Last time I went shopping I saved $58.00 with my coupons and in store savings. Made my husband happy.lol

Which coupon book? The sales flyer? Where does it say they're supposed to double coupons?

I'll have to call Econo. I've used coupons there before but they've never doubled 'em. Wonder if it's something they have to remember to do manually.

When you go into HyVee, there should be a rack somewhere near the front with the biweekly sales flyer (it looks like a book). Usually there's a blurb on the back that says the days that they're supposed to double and if it's there, it'll be in the tiniest print they can possibly fit in the margin.

I'll call our manager here & see what he says. Each store is individually owned though, so it may be that there is no general policy on coupons that they have to follow. But, as soon as I have an answer, I'll post it here.

That's pretty neat that all the stores in my areas double coupons.
I used to live in Greenville, and only Ingles there doubles coupons up to a dollar.

The Sunmart stores in Lincoln, Nebraska tripple coupons about every 3-4 months too. You have to check the newspaper to see if they are doing it though. I wish they would do it more often. I love it!!!!

Yep, Ralphs and Vons both double coupons up to $1.00 here in Southern California.

Also, Albertsons does not double coupons, but does take expired coupons - I believe they accept other store coupons as well, but you'd have to check on that one.

Hey, Ttulipps, I live in the SFV, and the Vons around here
are only doubling the first of like coupons. The others are
at face value only. Hmmm, can't figure out why they
would give Ralphs such an advantage. Do you know of any
Vons that are still doubling up to 3 coups?

I know Vons doubles, but not sure of the specifics as I don't shop there. I do about 80% of my grocery shopping at Ralphs - who doubles up to $1 on the first 3 like coupons - and the rest of my shopping is done at Albertsons.

The only grocery store around here, Salem Ohio, that I know of that doubles coupons is the Salem Giant Eagle and they will double a coupon value up to $.99 ($.75 = $1.50, etc.). The registers automatically double them. I've NEVER seen a store around here that has tripled coupons...boy would that be NICE!!! LOL

That site says that Big Bear, Kroger, IGA, Thriftway, Meijer's, and Foodtown in Ohio doubles coupons... I didn't even know that there were Big Bear, Thriftway, Meijer's, or Foodtown stores in Ohio! LOL But the "local" IGA's I know of have never doubled... Too bad.

Grrrrr, bad news for the folks in So. Calif. Von's is only doubling
one coupon - the rest are at face value. Not to be outdone,
Ralphs is only doubling two instead of three. This is what
happens when the amount of competition shrinks. Well, the
heck with them. We'll just have to work a little harder to get
our deals & steals. Thankfully, there's a Ralphs about every
mile or two, so we'll just have to hit more than one store.
Grocery shopping has not been the same since Kroger bought
out Ralphs.

in state college , pa . wegmans, giant and weis will all double 1.00 coupons... what a great deal....
