This Sweepstakes is sponsored by The Colgate-Palmolive Company, 300 Park Avenue, New York, New York 10022 (the "Sponsor").

1. TO ENTER. Must be legal U.S. resident 18 years of age or older to enter and win. Sweepstakes begins 12:01 a.m. ET on May 5, 2002 and ends 11:59 p.m. ET on September 30, 2002. To enter, go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and click on the "Colgate Country Showdown Sweepstakes" icon. Complete the official entry form including your name, complete address, e-mail address and date of birth. Send your entry by clicking on the submit button on the Sweepstakes page. You may also enter by hand printing the above information on a plain 3" x 5" card and mailing to: Colgate Country Showdown Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 7717, East Rutherford, NJ 07073-7717. Limit one entry per person, e-mail address. Group and mechanically reproduced entries, including photocopies, are not eligible. Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, mutilated, incomplete, misdirected or postage due entries. All electronic entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET September 30, 2002. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by September 30, 2002 and received by October 8, 2002. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law. All Federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

2. PRIZES. Grand Prize: Five (5) Grand Prizes will be awarded. Each Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for four (4) to the Colgate Country Showdown National Finals (place and date to be determined at a subsequent date). Prize includes round-trip coach airfare for four (4) to the Colgate Country Showdown National Finals from major airport nearest winner's residence, 3-day/2-night hotel accommodations (1 room, quad occupancy), four (4) tickets to the Country Showdown and $500 for on-site spending. Grand Prize winners agree to travel and participate on dates to coincide with Colgate Country Showdown Nation Finals (dates still to be determined), or prize will be forfeited without further compensation, and an alternate winner will be selected. Any Grand Prize winner who lives within the location where the Colgate Country Showdown National Finals are to take place will receive, in lieu of airfare, round-trip local transportation between winner's home and hotel. Winner is solely responsible for all other expenses not specified herein, including but not limited to meals, tips, hotel incidentals and ground transportation costs. In the unlikely event that the Colgate Country Showdown National Finals are cancelled for any reason whatsoever, winner agrees that Sponsors and their agents shall have no further obligations other than to deliver the remainder of the Grand Prize. Winner and guests must travel together on specified itinerary. Accommodation restrictions and blackout dates may apply. All travel dates and arrangements are subject to change, availability and Sponsor's approval. Any minor guest must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian on trip. (Approximate Retail Value of each Grand Prize: $5,000 - but actual final value of trip may vary based on point of departure and ticket availability at time of purchase). Approximate Retail Value of all prizes: $25,000. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted except at Sponsor's sole discretion in the event of prize unavailability.

3. RANDOM DRAWING. All winners will be chosen in a random drawing to be held on or about October 15, 2002 from all eligible entries received by an independent judging organization whose decision with respect to the selection of the winners and the interpretation of these rules and regulations will be final. Winners will be notified by e-mail and/ or mail. Winners and travel companions will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Indemnification and a Publicity Release where allowed by law within 7 business days. If potential winner does not reply to such notification within 3 business days, an e-mail notification is undeliverable after up to 3 attempts and/or the Affidavit of Eligibility, release and Indemnification and Publicity Release is not returned to Sponsor within specified time period, winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. In the event of any dispute concerning the identity of any entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the natural person who is the authorized holder of the transmitting e-mail account. If for any reason any prize is not claimed or winner is disqualified, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner, also selected at random, if time permits. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
